Greg Stromberg, CEO and president of CannedWater4Kids, second-guessed his public pledge to carry 40 pounds of water on his head for the entire walk, while acknowledging the fact that young women and children in many countries often carry more water over longer distances multiple times a day.

“In Wisconsin, all we do here is turn on a faucet and we have clean drinking water,” says Stromberg, whose non-profit organization works to provide clean drinking water for kids in developing countries. “We are so spoiled and have so much abundance.”

Packaging World Publisher Joe Angel introduces CannedWater4kids, a not-for-profit organization that will be a highlight of Pack Expo thanks to the enlightened leadership of PMMI.

Packaging plays a vital role in a program that aims to bring fresh water to children in desperate need in developing countries.

One of the largest reports ever published about Water Management will be distributed within the Los Angeles Times on August 27th, 2010 in a distribution of 650,000 copies. CannedWater4Kids is listed as a key participating organization.

CannedWater4Kids, a non-profit initiative to generate awareness and fund projects to purify water for children in developing nations, sent more than 160,000 cans of water to a hospital and orphanage in Haiti using the Aidmatrix Network. The second shipment recently arrived to an orphanage in Haiti, and CannedWater4Kids has provided the following images of the delivery.
